InnoTrans
InnoTrans is a trade fair held every two years in Berlin, in the autumn. It is the main and most important Business to business fair in the world railway industry, attended by a public with a strong prevalence of industry operators (about 85% of the visitors) 132.319 visitors in 2022. The fair is held in the Berlin exhibition centre and includes the large 20,000-square metre square behind the fair buildings, equipped with two kilometres of tracks and a junction to the city’s railway network.
The main exhibition areas of the fair are:
- Railway technologies (electronics, motor engineering, mechanics, telecommunications)
- Interior furnishings for vehicles
- Infrastructure management and maintenance
- Urban public transport
- Tunnel construction
- Traveller information
- Services

Unique feature of InnoTrans is its outdoor and track exhibition area, where everything from tank wagons to high-speed trains is displayed on 3,500 metres of track.
From 2016, InnoTrans offers vehicle manufacturers the opportunity to demonstrate buses on a static display area and the adjacent demonstration course.
