For a long time, people perpetuated the stereotype that synthetic leather is just an imitation leather produced with toxic chemical agents. With our high-quality coated fabrics, we hope that BILEATHER can shed new light on this field.
Bileather: raw materials
The sustainability ensured by the BILEATHER brand is obtained by employing solely raw materials coming from renewable and plant-based sources.
These raw material make the PVC coated fabric mechanical characteristics similar to those of our other products of fossil origin.
To complete this original and innovative formulation, we used standard 100 Oeko-Tex certified backings made of natural fibres. recycled polyester or polyester coming from sea clean-up operations.
Respecting our planet was the focus of this entire research.
To tackle environmental pollution, we created a sustainable and DMF-free synthetic leather – BILEATHER – with a low environmental impact, in order to respect the balance of the entire ecosystem. Apart from using raw materials obtained from renewable and plant-based sources, Icaiplast contributes to sea clean-up operations by using recycled plastic materials.

Our concern for our Planet and the experience of our researchers have inspired the creation of a new range of sustainable and versatile products. BILEATHER can be made in any colour and pattern, with different Oeko-Tex standard 100 certified backings.
